MANCHESTER CITY EYEING BAYERN MUNICH'S JOSHUA KIMMICH

Pep Guardiola's Unusual Move:
Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, is considering breaking one of his own rules to bring Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich to his team.

Kimmich's Tough Season:
In the 2023-24 season, Kimmich, who is 29 years old, experienced his first trophyless season with Bayern Munich. The team didn't win the Bundesliga, Champions League, DFB-Pokal, or German Super Cup.

Personal Success:
Despite Bayern's struggles, Kimmich had a good season individually. He scored two goals and provided 10 assists in 43 games under coach Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel even moved him back to his original position as a right-back during the second half of the season.

Years of Service:
Kimmich has been with Bayern Munich for nine years, joining the team from Stuttgart in 2015 for £7.2 million. As of now, he can leave the team for free in 2025.

Contract Rejection:
It's been reported that Kimmich has turned down one contract offer from Bayern Munich, hinting that he may be looking for a new challenge elsewhere.
