BARCELONA PRESIDENT CONFIRMS NEGOTIATIONS TO KEEP JOÃO CANCELO AND JOÃO FELIX

Loan Deals in the Works:
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has announced that the club is in talks to keep Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix at Camp Nou for the 2024-25 season. Both players were on loan from Manchester City and Atletico Madrid last season and played regularly for Barcelona.

Potential Loan Extensions:
After representing Portugal in the European Championship this summer, Cancelo and Felix are set to return to their parent clubs. However, Laporta revealed that Barcelona is trying to secure their services for another season. Due to financial constraints, the club may look to arrange further loan deals.

"We want them to continue. Deco is working to ensure that they continue another season in the current conditions," Laporta said on the Presidents Podcast on Barca One.

High Praise from Flick
Former Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick believes that Cancelo and Felix are top-quality players. Flick had previously tried to bring Joao to Bayern during his time as coach, highlighting their talent and potential impact on the team.
