However, he has been making a comeback with recent wins. In April, he had a steady point win over American Jermaine Franklyn, followed by a seventh-round knockout victory over Robert Helenius in August.

Hearn mentioned that Joshua is already looking to fight again before the end of the year. He stated, "We'd take that fight on December 23, no problem."
