Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The football legend had a heart attack at his home just two weeks after leaving hospital where he underwent surgery on a blot clot in his brain. Maradona, regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, helped Argentina win the World Cup in 1986, the pinnacle of an illustrious career. He played club football for Boca Juniors, Napoli and Barcelona among others and was adored by millions all over the world for his brilliant skills. Maradona was responsible for the infamous 'Hand of God' that eliminated England from the 1986 tournament. His career was also tinged with controversy because of drug and alcohol addiction. The Argentine news outlet Clarin broke the news on Wednesday afternoon UK time, describing the news of Maradona's passing as having a 'worldwide impact'. Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League match against Barcelona after testing positive for coronavirus for the third time. The Portuguese international, 35, has been self-isolating since he tested positive while on international duty with Portugal on October 13. He returned another positive result last week, and was made to take another test ahead of Juventus' clash against Barcelona on Wednesday According to Sky Italy, Ronaldo failed to test negative 24 hours ahead of kick-off, as required by UEFA in order to play, meaning his potential reunion with Lionel Messi will not happen tomorrow. The Juventus star was due to feature for Portugal on Wednesday in their Nations League Group C clash against Sweden. The 35-year-old has been released by the national side and must now isolate. Portugal's FPF said, "Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden." Ronaldo is reported to be in good health and has no symptoms. He is the only member of the Portugal squad to test positive to Corona virus. The news comes just days after Ronaldo featured in Portugal's goalless draw with France. At half-time, the Portuguese superstar was captured laughing and embracing Kylian Mbappe. The Uefa Super Cup could be attended by about 20,000 fans in Budapest as a trial, Europe's governing body has confirmed. European champions Bayern Munich will face Europa League winners Sevilla at the 68,000-seater Puskas Arena on Thursday, 24 September. Uefa said "up to 30% of the capacity of the stadium" would be allowed. A statement said it is "in order to study precisely the impact of fans on the Uefa Return to Play Protocol". It added: "The Uefa administration will keep monitoring the situation and advise the executive committee if any change is required or recommended in respect of either the 2020 Uefa Super Cup and/or the decision that Uefa matches shall be played behind closed doors until further notice." Philippe Coutinho is ready to take a wage cut after personally asking Jurgen Klopp to re-sign him for Liverpool, reports say.
