CRISTIANO RONALDO TESTED POSITIVE FOR CORONA VIRUS

The Juventus star was due to feature for Portugal on Wednesday in their Nations League Group C clash against Sweden.

The 35-year-old has been released by the national side and must now isolate.

Portugal's FPF said, "Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden."

Ronaldo is reported to be in good health and has no symptoms. He is the only member of the Portugal squad to test positive to Corona virus.

The news comes just days after Ronaldo featured in Portugal's goalless draw with France.

At half-time, the Portuguese superstar was captured laughing and embracing Kylian Mbappe.

Ronaldo is the latest world star to contract the virus.

Juventus teammates Blaise Matuidi, Paulo Dybala and Daniele Rugani tested positive for the virus earlier on in the year.

Liverpool's Thiago Alcantara and Man City duo Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez have also tested positive in the last few month.

It's a relief to hear Ronaldo is not in ill health and we hope he gets back to doing what he does best as soon as possible.
